HENRY WILLMS
1924 – 2023

With love, and deep gratitude for who he was, and for his long well-lived life, the family of Henry Willms announces his passing on March 30, at the age of 99. He peacefully surrendered to God's embrace in the comfort of his home at Tuxedo Villa.
Henry was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, his beloved Katherine. He is survived by his second wife Mary. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his children, Anne (Ron) Gulenchyn and Irene (Don), his grandchildren, Jenna Morris and Lauren (Travis) Brown, and five great-grandchildren.
Dad immigrated to Canada from Russia shortly after his birth. He was the first born to a large family and is survived by three of nine siblings. He left home and began work at an early age. He had a strong work ethic which remained throughout his life. He found his niche in the trucking industry as a Supervisor with Canadian Great Western Express, a job he loved. He retired in 1988 after 30 years of service.
Dad was a man of honour and integrity, with a quick wit and sense of humour to the very end. Central to his life was his strong faith.

Thank you to the staff at Tuxedo Villa for the wonderful care you provided to Dad over the last two years.
A private interment has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union Gospel Mission.
