It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Mitchell Onsowich. He was admitted into the St. Boniface Hospital March 13. After nearly four weeks in the hospital, he passed Sunday April 2, 2023 at the age of 69.
Ken was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He is survived by his wife Margret, son Jason (Cheri), daughter Tina (Christopher); stepgrandson Evan; siblings, Irene (George), Edward (Valerie), Donnie (Doragene); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Ken was born November 30, 1953, in Selkirk Hospital. He grew up in East Kildonan and attended Miles Macdonell Collegiate. He owned and operated a successful bathroom and kitchen renovation company Dynasty Bathrooms. Starting his business in 1984 from his basement to then opening a showroom on 369 Logan Ave., and then a second one on 3-996 Lorimer Blvd. in 2017. He worked alongside his wife Margret, sister Irene, cousin Carol, daughter Tina. Many family members and friends at some point or another worked at Dynasty Bathrooms whether it was to build a career or earn a bit money while going to school.
He married Margret on February 12, 1972. Last year they renewed their wedding vows for their 50th wedding anniversary.
Ken was a hard worker and didn't shy away from helping others. Ken could be found working in his backshop with his brothers on various projects. Ken was a sponsor for the #2 Supertruck for many years at the Red River Co-op Speedway. He had so much passion for this sport that he decided to build his own winning team of supertrucks and called it the "Dreaded Deuces". His team consisted of his good friend Eugene, his two brothers, son, installer Doug, drivers throughout the years Willie, Dave, Darren, Rod, Tyson, Jamie and Eric.
Ken was a member of the East St. Paul Lions Club. He would arrive at Show and Shine events with his Dynasty Bathrooms fleet off road and on, handing out race flags to kids.
Ken was a great friend and would do anything for them. Ken believed in strong work ethic and did his best to instill this into his team at Dynasty, racing crew and his children.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St Boniface Asper Hospital.
This obituary may also be viewed at Seasons Funeral Home. Further details of funeral service TBD.

Uncle Kenny will be cherished in our hearts forever and we are devastated to say the least. The quality time spent with Uncle Kenny was always just that, Quality, filled with laughter and great times even through tough work. A strong role model and just an amazing man with a beautiful kind heart, we are blessed to have had him as long as we did in our lives, but that being said he is gone far too soon, but always in our hearts! The many projects completed together over the years with my Dad (Ed) and Uncle Kenny were work at the time in my youth and beyond, but are now golden moments of learning and skills we will cherish and pass to our boys. Rodney and myself always knew we could ask for your help and we are so appreciative of everything Kenny ever helped us with no matter how small it was to him, it was huge for us and we are forever grateful. Hendrix and Cruz will always love racing because of you (among many other things of yours and Grandpa's influence), the trophy will always be proudly displayed in your loving memory in our home! Love you Uncle Kenny so very much, you will be greatly missed xoxoxo Deepest sympathies to Aunty Margret, Tina, Jason and families, we are thinking of you all at this very difficult time with SO MUCH LOVE! Love Always The Faria's (Mandy, Rodney, Hendrix & Cruz) xoxoxoxo - Posted by: Mandy Faria (Niece) on: Apr 10, 2023
