DONALD ROBERT MOFFAT

March 31, 1954 - April 7, 2023

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our father Donald Moffat.

Survived by his sons, Trevor (Candace) and Tyler (Taylor), grandchildren, Madison and Carter, mother Carol, siblings, Denton, Debbie (Raymond) and Devin (Juliana), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Don was a strong, proud, and determined man. He enjoyed time hunting at the farm and fishing at the lake. He was happiest in a boat with a rod in his hand or sitting out on the dock. But most of all he enjoyed quality time spent with his boys and in recent years his granddaughter Madison, the apple of his eye. He cherished that little girl.

As a family we take comfort in knowing he is not suffering, but words cannot describe how much he will be missed.

We love you Dad

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • I knew your father as Donny Moffat, who was always getting into trouble, skipping school (I briefly tried to match his record but couldn’t). He was one of the popular kids. I also remember his great smile. Tonight was our 50th Reunion for John Taylor Collegiate, Class of ‘72. Don was remembered in a very touching slide presentation, along with other students and teachers we have lost. Trevor, Tyler and all the Moffat family, I’m so very sorry for your loss. I wish we’d seen Donny just one more time. xoxo - Posted by: Sara Mosher (High school friend) on: May 17, 2023

  • Don's mother and I became friends when we were 6 yrs old. As adults we both lived in different parts of the country so friendship was a long distance one. I never met Carol's family but knew them all by name of our long phone chats. Heartfelt condolences to Carol and family. - Posted by: Parker Iris (A very old long tme friend of Don's mother Carol. .) on: Apr 24, 2023

  • Got to know Don and his family on Corkscrew Island back in the early 1990’s. He was always eager to lend a helping hand and was very resourceful. We always enjoyed his company and sense of humour. Our condolences go out to the family, we will cherish our memories. Phil & Lori Guertin - Posted by: Phil & Lori Guertin (Friends) on: Apr 17, 2023
