  • Dear Rob and Family, I was so very sorry to learn of Nettie's passing. Nettie worked with me many years ago doing Pediatric Infectious Diseases Research studies with our team at the University of Manitoba, Bannatyne Campus. She was always smiling and always eager to learn. Nettie was a very caring lady, and always found the good in everyone. A very special lady has earned her wings and she will certainly be missed. My deepest condolences to all of you. Peaceful rest, Nettie, my friend. Sincerely, Pat Pitcher - Posted by: Pat Pitcher (co-worker and friend) on: Apr 28, 2023

  • My husband Larry and I got to know Nettie and Rob when they moved into the same Condo community in Niverville. It didn't take long to become friends and I truly enjoyed helping out walking Jack, their wonderful dog, after Rob had his back surgery. Soon after that Nettie and I enjoyed regularly attending Sunday church service at Niverville United Church, as long as she was physically able, which she so enjoyed so much. Rest in peace Nettie, you will be missed but we rejoice knowing you are no longer suffering the pain. - Posted by: Pat Harder (Friend & Neighbor) on: Apr 27, 2023

  • Nettie and I met in Florida about eight years ago and became instant friends. We lived right next door to each other so it was very easy for her to know my whereabouts and I hers. Weather permitting, we were at the pool everyday or taking a walk to visit Nettie's friend "Diago" the huge lizard that lived down the road. These were special times. Rob, I know that I do not need to tell you what a wonderful, caring and special person Nettie was. I am sure I will never meet anyone like her again. I was privileged to have had her as my friend. My deepest condolences go out to you and the family. Sandi and Bernie - Posted by: Sandi Cohen (Friend) on: Apr 26, 2023
