REGINALD (REG) SIDNEY SHRIVES

June 3, 1944 - April 21, 2023

Reg lost his battle with cancer on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the age of 78 years old. He was predeceased by his brother, George Shrives; father, Fred Shrives; mother, Winnifred Shrives; uncle, Jack Shrives, his aunt, Dorothy Haynes and special friend, Lillian Davis.

Reg is survived by his cousins Beverley (Gord) Derouin, Murray Haynes, Richard Olney, Margaret Olney, Vicky Deprez, Donna Harrowen, and Brian Shepherd, along with many friends including: Doug and Anne Brolund, John, David, Anthony and Austin Davis, George Barers, Marty Thom, Karen Troop and her son Kyle and many others.

Reg was a quiet, cultured gentleman who inherited his love of music from both his father Fred, a pianist and his brother, George, a trombonist and singer. Reg was particularly fond of jazz. He was also an avid chess player and played with his friend, George Baker over the course of many years. Reg was an accomplished bowler and enjoyed bowling for a number of years. Reg traveled to Las Vegas and many places in Canada with friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and cherished him.

Reg will be laid to rest with his parents and brother at Brandon Cemetery on Monday, May 1, 2023 leaving from Brockie Donovan Chapel at 1:45 p.m. for interment at 2:00 p.m.
