With deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Fern. After fighting a loosing battle with cancer, Fern passed away at Agape Hospice in Calgary.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Ellbie Langstaff; and her sister Linda. Left to mourn her passing is her sister Shirley, brother-in-law John, nephew John and niece Kim, great-nephew Justin, and great-nieces, Jade and Sarah; her Aunt Teena; Uncle Bill and Aunt Denise; many cousins and her two dear friends, Frankie and Edna.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Fern was my best friend. I have never had a friend like Fern. It was one of those times when you meet someone and just click! We had so much fun together. I took her to meet my family. They all just loved her! She just became one of us - our adopted sister. She just loved all of us and being with us for barbeques and special holidays. And our special girl's steak night out! Fern and I used to go to the big bingos for the whole day. It was so nice to get away from the lodge and have the whole day just to ourselves. I miss and love her so much. And now to my dear Fern. I know that all is well with you now. And that you don't have to be afraid of anything anymore - so go fly on the wings of a dove!! You'll love it! I promise!!
