Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I first remember I went to Ida's house to cut my long hair that went below my butt, because I had enough with all the tangles that I had which took an hour to untangle and helping me with Raymond over the years to help to clean my yard - Posted by: ginette dowinski (neighbour) on: May 03, 2023

  • When I was 18 Ida bought a salon in St. Boniface. I worked for her and would often walk over to Dairy King for ice cream and fries. She introduced me to this delicacy. I eat it to this day and so do my children in spite of the weird look from others. It always makes me smile. As a teenager I would babysit the little ones and sometimes sleep over on Friday nights so I could watch a special show that we didn't get as we did not have cable out in the country. She gave me a safe place to be when life was very difficult. She was there for me in a way that no one else was. She has been a blessing in my life. I want to send a big hug out to the family she will be missed. - Posted by: Monique Kendel (Niece) on: May 02, 2023
