Drum adios adios adios amor. So muß das Leben wohl sein. Es holt alle Verlierer mal ein. Ich komm' verlassen mir vor. Drum adios adios adios amor - Posted by: Armin (Son) on: May 02, 2023

Oma, my heart is heavy with the weight of grief as I try to come to terms with your passing. Your love, laughter, and kindness made my world a brighter place, and I am forever grateful for the memories we shared. You were more than just my Oma, you were my teacher and mentor, helping me learn the German language, comparing notes on the best mushroom hunting spots, providing gardening tips and introducing me to the beauty of Lester Beach. You had a unique gift for making me laugh until my ribs hurts, and I will miss that more than words can express. Your German roots gave us not only a taste for Jägermeister but also a rich heritage that will always be part of our family's story. It's hard to imagine a world without your comforting presence, but I find solace knowing you're reunited with Opa and watching over us. 'Prost!' to a life well-lived and a love that will never be forgotten. I will always be your “Schatzi”. Du wirst für immer in unseren Herzen leben. Ich liebe dich, Oma. Ruhe in Frieden. ❤️ - Posted by: Kaitlynn Buffie (grandaughter) on: May 01, 2023

To sum up my Oma is difficult. She was both the calm and the storm. She was everyone’s biggest fan. She was a teacher and a student. She’s the reason I know how to fold flour in to cake batter and why I wear socks to bed. She made sure we were fed and did our German homework and stayed connected to the ones we love. And God, did she have spunk. She won, in the grand scheme of things: an abundant family with decades of memories across state and country lines, and an ever-present suntan to prove it. She saw her children grow to become parents and was a compass for her grandchildren trying to navigate their own ebbs and flows. I will not toss a fistful of fresh herbs into a pot of soup or add a pinch of extra salt to my dishes or tell my friends I love them without a reminder of who instilled those values. My Oma. I will always be your muschelschen, and you will always be my guiding light.❤️ - Posted by: Nicole Buffie (Granddaughter ) on: Apr 29, 2023

Auntie Alina was such a dear sweet soul! I have some wonderful memories. Hold on to your memories and may they help you as you move on in a life without your dear mom and Oma. My heart hurts for all of you. Sending my sincerest condolences. But always remember that grief is the price we pay for love. Lean on each other and together you will get through it. But life will never be the same. Sincerely Barb Holden - Posted by: Barb Holden (Niece…3 or 4 times removed) on: Apr 29, 2023
