• I believe I met Mike in 1989; in the mid 90s he helped me get into Wrestling as my trainer, mentor and tag team partner. Along with being an exceptionally talented performer in the ring Mike was a genuinely big hearted person who could always be counted on. There isn't enough room here, or anywhere, for me to recount all of the great stories of Mike in character at an event but he was the epitome of kayfabe in an era of "smart" fans and set an example of professionalism regardless of who he was working and how large the crowd was. As he once said to me, "You're either one of the boys, or you're not," and he definitely was. Rest in peace brother.
