ANNA WEBER
(nee BECK)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anna (Anne) Weber, aged 91, on April 14, 2023.
She is survived and deeply missed by her daughters, Edith Weber, Rosemary (Clif) Bakx; her grandchildren, Candice (Ryan) Friesen, David (Jackie) Bakx and Kyle (Amanda) Bakx; great-grandchildren, Raquel, Ben, Luke, Lauren, Owen and Henry. She is also survived by her siblings, Katharina Schleier, Stephen (Christa) Beck and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Anne Weber was born in Brsljanica, Yugoslavia on March 16, 1932. Today, this village is in Croatia. She was the fourth child of Heinrich and Anna Beck. She had four siblings, Henry, Katharina, Conrad and Steve. Their grandmother Anna Marz, a widow, lived with the family.
She met her husband Frank Weber in Canada, and they married June 25, 1955. They had two daughters, Edith, and Rose. They farmed near St. Adolphe from 1962 to 2008. Anne’s priorities were family, faith and farming.
Anne and Frank were active members of the Epiphany Lutheran Church. On several occasions, Anne and Frank hosted church harvest dinners at their farm.
Our family wishes to thank the staff of Grace Hospital and St. Norbert Personal Care Home for their care and compassion and also, Pastor Paul Sartison and the shut-in visitors team at Epiphany Lutheran Church.
A funeral service will be held in her honour on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.
