Condolences & Memories (12 entries)

  • Moe and I were in a poetry contest at Louis Riel Collegiate. He won second prize. We were always likened to two alpha males and I always enjoyed the competition. Thank you Moe - Posted by: Chuck Beaudry (Chuckbeaudry30@gmail.com ) on: Aug 23, 2023

  • So sorry to hear about Maurice's passing. We also knew each other growing up. My last memories about him were hanging out at St. Laurent/ Laurentia Beach where our parents had a cottage. I remember hanging out with him along with his little brother Hubert and my little brother Norm. One minute you are 15 years old and hanging around on the beach and you blink and then you are wondering where the time went. Life is very short and precious, but memories have a way of compressing the time between the present and the past. Until we meet again brother. - Posted by: Jean-Marc Guenette (Childhood Friend) on: May 16, 2023

  • My life with Maurice started in Grade 1 up until Grade 12. We were quite the group of guys growing up in St. Boniface, and Maurice was one of the kindest guys you could meet, right Jean Levasseur! I have always thought of what happened to him after high school, but i can see he was in good hands with his family. Sadly we have lost many friends in the last few years, wondering if Maurice knew of another good buddy, Rheau Beaudry who lived 4 houses down from Maurice, last year to this deadly disease. Salut mon chum. - Posted by: Bob Clement (childhood friend) on: May 10, 2023

  • Moe started at Sonoma State University a week after I did in 2007. We kind of figured out that place together, he and I. Moe was a truly exceptional human being and it's an honor to have known him and worked with him for the many years I did. To his family, I'm very sorry for your loss. Rest in peace, my friend. - Posted by: Vaughn A Bellwood (co-worker) on: May 09, 2023

  • Moe was a true gentleman and scholar. His stoicism, integrity, coupled with the warmth he showed us all will continue to endure even though his physical vessel does not. - Posted by: Christopher Corwin (Friend and Colleague) on: May 08, 2023

  • I am so sorry to hear that Moe passed. Moe was a solid partner in IT and someone we could always count on to figure out the really challenging issues or requests. He approached everything with a can-do attitude and conquered every roadblock. I especially enjoyed running into him at Costco on the weekend's where had a few extra minutes to check-in and see how things were going. We will miss you Moe! - Posted by: Jaime Russell (Co-worker) on: May 08, 2023

  • So sorry to hear of your loss. He was a good person who loved his family. I last saw him at his mother’s funeral. He was just so warm and welcoming. Maurice was named for my father, his uncle. That smile will be missed. - Posted by: Suzanne Wood (Cousin) on: May 06, 2023
