RANDEE GOLDMAN
Peacefully on May 5, 2023, Randee passed away at the age of 94.
Born in Winnipeg, Randee spent her formative years in the north end of the city. At age 22, following a brief courtship, she married her lifelong partner Aaron where, for the next 60 years they shared an eclectic and adventurous life together. In the early 1950s, shortly after the birth of their daughter, they relocated to a small Saskatchewan town in pursuit of a variety of interests. Settling in Yorkton, they quickly became well established in the community operating four businesses including the Casual Shop, a ladies clothing store that Randee oversaw on a daily basis. In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavours, Randee was actively involved in a variety of local organizations and always provided her timeless support to all her family's activities.
After 20 successful years, the family returned to Winnipeg where Randee retired from the business world. The prevailing years found Randee and Aaron seeking new adventures through their love of travelling the world and curious exploration of new experiences. Closer to home, their summer retreat in Gimli warmly welcomed friends and family creating lasting memories particularly for their granddaughters that still vividly resonate today. Randee selflessly devoted her time enriching the lives of many others volunteering with many organizations including the National Council of Jewish Women. Her generosity, zest for life and unconditional love for her family and all those she encountered, were her greatest gifts.
Randee was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Toba, husband Aaron, brothers, Phillip, Percy, and sister Marly Mandel. Cherishing her memory are daughter Carla, son Hartley, granddaughters, Mariel (Graham), Jamie (Mark), Danica (Matthew), great-grandson Toby and many admiring extended family members and friends. Graveside service, officiated by Rabbi Anibal Mass, was held on May 9, 2023, at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to the entire staff at the Simkin Centre for their dedicated and compassionate care extended to Randee. Donations may be sent to a charity of choice.
