ROBERT DOELL

January 1, 1950 – May 5, 2023

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rob, after a difficult five-month heartfelt battle due to complications from heart surgery. Rob was surrounded by his loving family.

To know Rob was to love him. He was kind, compassionate and always helpful to all. He loved history, music, art, literature just to name a few. On a quiet afternoon, you could find Rob listening to music while sketching drawings for people in his life. His legacy will live on through his sons. He has passed down his love of music and showed by example how to be a loving spouse.

He leaves to mourn his wife Linda, of 50 plus years; sons, Sean (Jessica), Aron (Nadia), Blair (Robyn and Riley); stepmother Kay; brothers, Andy (Mary), Brian (Angeline, David and Ida); Brother-in-law Dwayne (Angie), sister-in-law Shelly (Chris & Tristan) as well as numerous extended family.

Rob was predeceased by his brother in infancy, his mother Elma and father Cornelius.

Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

The family would like to thank Dr. J. Strumpher and the staff who cared for Rob at St. Boniface Hospital.

  • I have thought of you all many times over the past months .. my sincere condolences ❤️ - Posted by: Natasha Esau (Nurse ) on: Jun 19, 2023

  • Our deepest sympathy to you Linda, and your family. We were so sorry to hear of the difficult circumstances Bob, and you, and family have had to endure for the past several months. Bob was a friendly and generous soul. We enjoyed the many friendly chats he would share on his daily walks. He always had an interesting story to tell and generous advice or offer of assistance. Bob was a talented artist and we were lucky to be the recipients of some of his artwork. He always had another project on the go. We will miss him. The neighborhood will not be the same without him. - Posted by: Annette and Robert Havens (Neighbours for 20 years) on: May 19, 2023
