ROSINA GUNKEL

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our precious Rosina Gunkel, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Rosina was born October 28, 1937, in Filipowo, Yugoslavia and passed away on May 5, 2023, in Winnipeg, MB.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 63 years, Frederick Gunkel, sons, Frederick Gunkel, Anthony Gunkel, John Gunkel, daughter MaryAnn Flood and son-in-law Chris, seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Also left to mourn are sister Clara Wuebbolt, brother Otto Ament, brother-in-law Jürgen Knudsen, and Birgit, sister-in-law Margaret Di Frangia along with family, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Private family interment was held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone to extended kindness to Rosina in her life. Thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital, and the renal, ICU and palliative care units at Health Sciences Centre.
Thank you also to Richard Rosin who was entrusted with the care of Rosina on her final journey.
