Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I worked with Chris at CKND TV (Global) in Winnipeg and we had reconnected over social media in recent years. Chris always had a spring in his step and a zest for knowledge. His positive energy was contagious in the workplace. How he leveraged personal challenges in his life to spread understanding about sight loss is testament to his outstanding character. This is a sad loss and my condolences go out to his family. Rest in power Chris, you made a difference! - Posted by: Dwight Iwan (Former colleague ) on: May 18, 2023

  • I am very saddened and shocked to hear of Chris' passing. I went to school with Chris in Winnipeg back in the 80's and after many years I had recently been in contact with him after he released his book. Over the last few years we spoke on the phone a couple of times and had exchanged several emails. Reminiscing about the old days along with his love of the old NY Islanders Stanley Cup dynasty teams and the CFL/Calgary Stampeders were the topic of many of our conversations. I know that Chris had faced many challenges over the last several years. He always stayed positive and made the best of whatever cards he was dealt. Chris, you are in a better place now. Rest easy buddy. My condolences to Deborah and all Chris' family and friends. - Posted by: Scott Green (Old school friend) on: May 13, 2023

  • Christopher was a wonderful person. He was always so positive and full fun and energy. He motivated many people with his talks and book. It is still hard to believe he is gone, he will live on through his work. I offer my sincere condolences to his wife Deborah and his family. - Posted by: Sharon Cline (Friend) on: May 13, 2023

  • I only know Christopher through the lovely things that Chandra has told me. That he was the rock of the Gordon family That he was kind and gentle That he was courageous and faced his challenges head on That he shared his story by writing a book that encouraged others who had blindness to roll with it And most important - that he loved his wife and the rest of his family unconditionally I offer my deepest condolences at the loss of a husband, son, brother, uncle and friend May all his family and friends find some relief from their grief when recalling their fond memories of Christopher. May he rest in peace - Posted by: Patti Adams (Friend to Chandra) on: May 13, 2023
