KENNETH SAXTON

With much sadness we announce the passing of Kenneth Alexander St. John Saxton on May 5, 2023.

Ken was predeceased by his wife Delores, his sister Anne Levia, and his parents, Margaret and Sinj Saxton. Ken is survived by brothers, Mike (Joan) and Geoff (Mandana) and their families, stepchildren, Robert Watts and Cory Rodin and their families, his Aunt Val Lambert and numerous cousins, nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews.

Ken was born on September 14, 1958. Growing up he enjoyed swimming and Boy Scouts and attended school at St. James Collegiate. In his adult life he enjoyed going ballroom dancing with his beloved wife and being at the lake at his place in Pinawa. Ken was a member of the Bahá'í Faith.

In 1985 Ken earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manitoba. Subsequent to graduation he spent his career working at the City of Winnipeg. He will be fondly remembered as a very talented and creative individual both in his work career and in his home projects.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clements Cemetery near Selkirk. Reception to follow at the St. Clements Hall adjacent to the cemetery.

If friends so desire donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or the charity of your choice.

  • My condolences and prayers for all who loved Kenny. Kenny and I were friends during our engineering studies in the late 70's and early 80's. I have often fondly remembered being silly with he, Dave, Tony and John during those years. The last time I saw him was in the early 90's during a few years when I returned to live in Winnipeg- but it seems like yesterday. Love and blessings dear Kenny, Mark+ Rest eternal grant unto Kenny, O LORD, and let light perpetual shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. - Posted by: Rev. Dr. D.
