Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • My deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mom. She and my Mom (Carol McNiven, nee Root) were close childhood friends growing up in Emerson, and my Mom talked regularly with Helen until she passed away in 2016. They were both part of the "Emerson gang" that would get together a couple times a year, often at the Olive Garden, for lunch and a session of reminiscing. I met Helen a few times, and kept in touch with her during the last 6 weeks of my Mom's life when she was in the hospital, to let her know how my Mom was doing. She seemed to be a wonderful person and my Mom considered her a treasured friend. There are never any words to truly express the sorrow of losing someone so special, but take comfort in knowing that others care and that she will always be remembered. Please give my Mom a big hug, Helen, and tell I miss her so much. Again, my deepest condolences to the family.... - Posted by: Lori McNiven (Daughter of one of Helen's childhood friends (Carol McNiven)) on: May 29, 2023
