LYN BAILEY
Because someone we love is in heaven, there is a little bit of heaven in our home.
On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, Lyn Bailey, aged 70 years of Lockport, MB, beloved wife of Allan, Mother of Tricia (Chris), Jenaya and Jason (Diana), Baba of Madelyn, Alexi and Naomi and sister of Donna, passed away. Not COVID related.
A very amazing, elegant, gifted and devoted lady, Lyn put all her energy, abilities and expertise into all she had to do for our family, our business, colleagues and friends. She was always striving to help others to a healthier, happier life. We all could count on Lyn for being there through thick and thin and dealing with whatever challenges we were presented with as a Wife, Mother, Baba, business partner, friend, educator, and mentor to countless many. When you wanted something done right, who did you call? Lyn. In all that Lyn did she always stood up for the underdog and the less fortunate. Lyn made sure to donate to a wide variety of worthy causes each and every year. Lyn treated everyone with kindness and respect and quickly earned their respect and admiration. Lyn was a beautiful person inside and out. Corporate America also benefited greatly from Lyn’s expertise, insight and wisdom as she was selected to be a very active, integral member for several terms on the advisory boards of Nature’s Sunshine Canada and Morinda International. Beside every man is a great woman and this was definitely the case in our marriage and businesses, including “The Herbalist” and Lyn led the way in many instances. Lyn could sew, knit, cook etc. and did it all meticulously well. And wow! Lyn was an amazing card and board game player. Who can forget her amazing voice? Lyn could sing everything beautifully. Lyn’s voice was captivating. Please, whenever you hear lullabies, Christmas carols (Ukrainian or English), the song Amen, songs by The Carpenters On Top of The World and We've Only Just Begun, The Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Milder, Mary, Did you Know by The Pentatonix, songs from the Sound of Music, Michael Crawford’s Music of The Night, Hallelujah by K.D. Lang, Never my Love by The Association, take a moment and think of Lyn. Although Lyn was never a user of drugs or approved of them, the song White Rabbit was always a popular request for her band back in the day. Lyn’s love of music translated into her talent for dancing, including all of the old “stuff” like Polkas, Butterflies, the Schottische, the Waltz, Two-Step, Cha Cha and, of course, Jive. It brings a smile to Allan’s face that she always had to lead.
Lyn never wore a watch. But, she was always on time…every time…all of the time.
Thank goodness, Lyn was very frugal and wise with all money matters to ensure our success.
Lyn was brilliant with numbers, not only as a bookkeeper, but had a phenomenal memory for phone numbers, account numbers, SIN numbers, etc. When you needed an important number, who would you call? Lyn.
Lyn, we all miss you dearly each and every day. We thank and appreciate you for your devotion, dedication, commitment and inspiration to family, friends and colleagues. And of course, your beautiful smile, infectious laughter, love and grace. Lyn is buried at our site at the St. Andrews on the Red Church on River Rd. St. Andrews. When possible, please stop by and visit. Shortly before Lyn’s passing, she said “We had a wonderful life, and I am very thankful for everything.” Heaven is a lot brighter now with Lyn.
