It is with profound sadness that we announce that our mom passed away peacefully at the age of 101 years with her daughter Joan by her side.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur; her daughter-in-law Bonnie-Lee; her son-in-law Bill; and her brothers, Will and Art.
She is survived by her son Don and wife Jean; daughter Joan; and grandchildren, Nicole, Jennifer and her husband Jamie; and great-grandchildren, Matteo, Griffin, Farrah, Elise and Paige. Mom is also survived by her stepgrandchildren, David and his wife Amanda; and stepgreat-grandchilden, Maren and Vivien; by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to the staff of home care, those in the community of Emerson, for supporting mom over the years, and to the staff of the Emerson Personal Care Home, for their care and support.
A memorial service will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church, Friedensthal on Saturday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment at the Friedensthal Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the church parish hall following inurnment.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Friedensthal or the Emerson Personal Care Home.
