WAYNE BOURGEOIS

Wayne Bourgeois with Bob Paulus

The passing of my best friend of 60 years is heart breaking and will leave a hole in my life forever. We first met when our dad’s working construction would bring us along to help. From then on, we were like two brothers, sharing our lives and adventures. Riding our bikes between our homes and exploring the world around us. We followed different paths as we got older, but the friendship only got stronger. His dream was to become an artist and mine to make a name in business. On our paths of life, we shared many moments of triumph and sorrow but because we shared a common bond we were always there for each other. We both left our hometown to follow our dreams but always met once a year to reconnect. As the years went by, his hard work and determination allowed him and his soul mate to fulfill their lifelong dream to settle in British Columbia. He believed in following his own path and became accomplished artist and avid environmentalist. I will miss his insights on the world, music and his love of nature. He will always be in my heart.
