DIANA MERLE COULSON
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend on May 30, 2023.
She will be missed by her three sons, Chris (Carol), Craig (Laura), Cliff (Connie) as well as grandchildren, Alicia (Rob), Breanne (Curtis), Kyle (Maryn), Kevin, Kerry, Kurtis, Brett, Braeden (Megan), Brooklyn (Ethan), and great-grandchild Elena.
Diana was born in Montreal in May of 1932. She attended Iona Public School and after graduating from Westmount High she took an administrative secretarial course; this led to her obtaining the position of Secretary to the Dean of Concordia University in Montreal. Here she met a student who became the love of her life and eventually her husband. She and Bob were married in 1954 and had their first son, Chris in 1958. They were later transferred from Montreal to Toronto where Craig was born in 1961; then along came Cliff in 1963.
In 1964 the family was transferred to Winnipeg where Bob became Underwriting Manager for Federated Insurance and Diana worked in the St. Boniface School Division. The family loved Winnipeg and eventually was introduced to their first travel trailer, boat, snowmobile, moped and dog! Di, Bob, and the boys enjoyed many years of travelling, camping and appreciating nature.
Bob and Di retired in the early 1990s and spent 20 years living in Paradise Village near Ste. Anne. These were wonderful years of camping and travel down south in the U.S. and Vancouver Island in the winter, and enjoying the social life and natural beauty of the village in summer. Diana loved planning family dinners and always took a great interest in her boys’ lives as well as her grandchildren's activities.
By 2013 both Bob and Diana were experiencing serious health issues and moved to assisted living at Bridgepark Manor in Steinbach. Bob passed away in 2016.
Funeral service for Diana Coulson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Cemetery.
Special thanks to the Bethesda Regional Health Centre staff for their loving care and support to both Di and her family.

So many memories of adventures in -Hintingdon, Quebec and those wonderful vacation times in St Adolp in the Laurentians. Distance took its toll but no one can take the happy times we shared. - Posted by: Marilyn ORegan (Cousin) on: Jun 17, 2023

So sorry for your loss. May all the memories you hold dear in your hearts and the love of family and friends help you through this difficult time. I worked with your mom at Shamrock School for a number of years. She was a very artistic person.
