TERENCE PRESLEY

June 29, 1948 – June 1, 2023

We have lost our deeply cherished husband and father, Terry. His heart stopped at home on May 28 and though paramedics were able to start it again, the damage was too great, and he never woke up; we said goodbye on June 1. He was 74.



Predeceased by his mother Ellen and sister Dawn, Terry leaves behind his devoted wife of 48 years, Geraldine, his daughter Taryn, brother Darrell (Darlene), brother-in-law Wayne (Shirley), nieces, Chelsey (Bret; Dawn and Alex) and Courtney (Jeff), extended family in Winnipeg and across Canada, and four cats who believed the world revolved around him.



Terry absorbed knowledge and knew something about everything. He was always ready for a trip and saw as much of the world as possible, including Europe, Australia, South America, India, numerous summers in Arizona, cruises, too many road trips to count, and two years living in Wales and Northern Ireland. He never met an animal that didn't love him, and it had nothing to do with the many treats he provided. A sports fan, he always had a game on TV and he and Taryn enjoyed many Moose and Goldeyes games together each year. He was soft-spoken and gentle, always ready to help but never looking for recognition or praise. He will be so deeply missed.



The family thanks the dedicated paramedics and St. Boniface Hospital staff for their care and kindness in a collapsing system.



Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. If so desired, we know he would appreciate donations in his name to an animal rescue of your choice.
