On June 5 Russell lost his battle to cancer. He passed away peacefully while surrounded by those who loved him most.
He is survived by his sister Dolores (Craig) Atkins, brothers, Glen (Mercy), Ron, Dennis (Janet), Doug (Keri), Bill (Cindy) and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by our Mom, Dad, sister Barb, niece Hanna and the love of his life Sylvia.
We’d like to thank the team at Riverview for the excellent care they provided to Russell. A special thanks to my niece Niki and sister-in-law Janet for their unwavering support during Russell’s final days.
Russell lived his life his way. The next time you’re driving by the Thirsty Lion stop in and choke back an old Milwaukee in his memory.

I grew up on Berkley Street with Russell, Darrell and Rill. We rode our bikes on the dusty Charleswood gravel roads in summer and tried to run each other into the boards playing crack-the-whip at the skating rink on Berkley.
