LUCILLE HARRAS
With sorrow I announce the passing of my sister Lucille Harras on June 12, 2023.
Lucille worked as a social worker for the Manitoba government in the Department of Family Services for 33 years, initially in the City of Brandon (three years), then in Winnipeg. She was a graduate of the University of Manitoba in both Arts and Social Work.
Lucille developed Type 1 Diabetes early in life, at the age of seven. Diabetes presented her with challenges throughout her life which she faced with courage and determination.
She was an intelligent, thoughtful, and gentle person who worked hard and did her best for all. In addition she had a keen eye for beauty in design and in nature, which she shared with us.
Lucille had a deep love and appreciation for her family as they did for her. I miss her a lot.
A Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 10:30 a.m., at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
