CLIFFORD GLENN POKRANT

January 27, 1933 - June 18, 2023

It is with deep sadness the family of Cliff announce his passing on June 18, 2023 at West Park Manor, Winnipeg.

Left to cherish his memory is his dear son Doug (Karen) and his daughter-in-law Iris, his adopted grandson Nsamba (Rulah) , great-granddaughter Lainey Marlene, sisters-in-law, Deanna (Keith) Hood and Eileen (Harvey) Pischke, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and longtime friends.

Cliff was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years Marlene (Kotchorek) in 2018 , his dear son Gord in 2019, his brother Rick, his sister Jean (Harold) Klassen, brother-in-law Bob Croatto and parents, William and Verna (Johnson).

Cliff started his 40 year career with the Province of Manitoba in 1950, with most of his career as regional superintendent for Natural Resources in the engineering and construction department. That role and hefty responsibility took him through to the end of a strong career in 1990.

Cliff and Marlene were married in 1957 and spent the first part of their 61 years in Charleswood where they raised their sons until they retired to Lac du Bonnet in 1991.

The family would like to thank the nursing and healthcare staff at West Park Manor (2E) for Dad’s care. Your kindness and attention toward him and to us was very much appreciated.

Cremation has taken place. A private burial will take place at Rosenfeld Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Research, Kid Sport (Winnipeg Chapter) or the True North Youth Foundation (c/o Winnipeg Jets Organization).

Friends and family are invited to visit Cliff’s memorial page at www.interlakecremation.ca, where memories and condolences may be shared.

Arrangements are entrusted to Interlake Cremation & Memorial Services
