Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Val befriended me when I was a pre-teen / teenager when living in Wpg. MB, when we were neighbors on Pritchard Ave. I remember her as so welcoming & nurturing. She was a great example of a great home maker as her home was always pristine, everything had its place. What I most remember of our times together was her love of country music, she had all the oldies ... Merle Haggard, George Jones, Hank Williams and more. We spent hours listening and sharing. Val was always kind and a very personable person, she had away of making you feel comfortable & safe. Another thing I remember about Val is how well she took care of herself, always put together (hair, make up & clothing). I had seen her for many years after moving out of the country but every now & then happy memories would cross my mind. So in closing this woman was a great example to me & will always cherish the times we had together. Rest in peace my beautiful friend ...
