It is with great sadness that our Mom went peacefully with her Creator on June 21, 2023 at Health Sciences Centre with her family by her side.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, her five siblings, her eldest daughter Marynanfe and son-in-law Peter Managuelod.
Mourn to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Bernardo Soriano; her children, Marybel Ricafort (Ranie) Mary Ann Soriano-Cabanit (Edwin) Palomar Soriano. Her grandchildren, Femy Ann, Kathleen, Mae Antonette, Bernard John (Quency), Kristyl, Mark (Rhina), Matthew, Kayla and Kyle. Her great-grandkids, Berna, Bernie, Leia and Yram.
Mom was born in the Philippines to Mariano and Maria Agpalo. She was the second child of six children.
Mom was a retired elementary teacher back home before she immigrated to Canada in 1994.
Mom’s greatest love was her family and most of all her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren whom she adored and loved so much. Mom was such a loving, kind and a generous woman and a Mom to everyone who knew her.
Mom enjoyed watching baseball and she was an avid fan of Toronto Blue Jays. Mom was a great cook and everyone who had her meal expressed that they felt the love she put in her cooking.
Our family would like to express our big thanks and gratitude to the caring staff of Health Sciences Centre (ER,GH7 and GH6) and to Dr. Li for your kindness, effort, love and compassion that you have shown Mom and to us. We are forever grateful. You guys are awesome!!!
A Celebration of Life will be held in honour of her on July 8, 2023 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB at 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
