Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • It was an honour to have Pat as a friend. We were at MIEA together in the early 80’s. She was a bright light that kept us all in line and laughing at ourselves and each other. Pat had a special way of caring for all of us. She was especially close to our Val. Those two had many adventures together. Don’t ask (wink wink). Pat, rest my dear. There is a special place in heaven for earthly angels like Pat. - Posted by: Deb Dyck and Chris Leskiw (Friend and colleague) on: Jul 14, 2023

  • I was saddened to hear the news of my dear friend. I was fortunate to work with Pat at MIEA when she moved home from Ottawa. This was the beginning of it all. Hard work, crazy times, stories, and more. Then we moved over to ILTC where we had more adventures and made some lifetime friendships. These were the happiest memories of getting to know Pat and spending time with her. She had a way with people, she’d draw you in and you were in love with her. Thank you to her family for sharing her with us in these early years. Glad I got to reconnect from time to time at Fisher River Treaty Day, Concerts, and other celebrations. Rest easy my friend. We are celebrating your life here as much as the angels are celebrating your arrival❤️ Condolences to her family, friends, and community. Sorry I won’t be there due to a previous medical appointment in Calgary. I’m thinking of you all! - Posted by: Cynthia Bird (Friend and former colleague ) on: Jul 09, 2023

  • I worked with Pat when I first joined the work force in the 70's, both at MIB and the MIEA. She was a beautiful person inside and out, and had a crazy sense of humour which kept us on our toes at all times! Our condolences to the family. Bev and Rod Smith. - Posted by: Bev Smith (Work colleague ) on: Jul 06, 2023
