On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Robert Glowachuk, aged 81, formerly of Stonewall, passed away peacefully at his home at Extendicare Oakview Place, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
He was born on June 5, 1941. Left to mourn his passing, his daughter Kim-Marie Cormier, his son Kelly Glowachuk, his granddaughter Sarah, sisters, Gail (Bill) Dueck, Verna Ross, various relatives and friends.
Predeceased by his wife Annette Glowachuk (Carriere) in October 2021, his father Mike Glowachuk in 2002, stepmother Mary Glowachuk (Pawlust) in 2005, his mother Thelma McMahon (Grantham) in 2002, his stepfather Milton McMahon in 1971, and his brothers, Neil McMahon in 1986, Wilfred Glowachuk in 2016 and Ellice McMahon in 2016.
Robert (Bob) has been described as “a character beyond compare” and his nickname of Crazy Bob, further cemented that persona! Bob had many loves: a good cup of coffee and Baba’s perogies, riding his horses, shooting, back woods hunting trips, drinking with friends and having a good discussion! Known for his wit and ear-to-ear smile, he always had a joke and a story to share.
His ashes will be spread in the Duck Mountains, where his heart was and where he went every year, for decades, moose hunting. Some of the ashes will be buried with his family in the Windsor Cemetery, MB.
The family would like to thank all the staff of Extendicare Oakview Place for the care they gave Bob while he was there.
