Roberta and I met at Tec-Voc High School in the Commercial Art program and quickly became good friends. When our teachers realized that we weren’t very artistic 😁, they encouraged us to join the workforce and helped us both find jobs with Fraser Art Supplies. We worked there together for two years, and remained friends throughout the years… marriage, children, loss, we shared the milestones and the grief. Periods of time would go by and we’d lose touch for a while, but always found our way back and it was as if we’d never been apart. Some of my best memories are of us driving her mom’s old Valiant with the radio blasting, singing Hotel California at the top of our lungs. She loved spending summers in Swan River and telling outrageous stories about her family and friends there, to the point that I felt like I knew them all myself. The 70s were the best times, we had a lot of fun. I’m going to miss our visits, the phone calls, the laughs and the way Roberta made me feel like such an important part of her life; she was intelligent and adventurous, and I will always treasure our friendship. RIP my friend ❤️ Now you know the secret - Posted by: Lori Willett (Friend ) on: Jul 11, 2023
