KIM DAVID ZAYAC
On June 21, 2023, Kim David Zayac passed away after a rapid health decline.
He will be missed by his loving soulmate Sharon Malenchak, father David (Barbara), brother Shawn (Shirley), stepsisters, Kathryn Heidinger (Adrian), Danielle Gzebb, and Jennifer Hetherington (Scott), sister-in-law Lorraine Dolynchuk (Ronald) as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Shirley.
Kim was born April 29, 1967 and grew up in Transcona. From an early age he developed a passion for computers. He became very knowledgeable about technology and devoted his efforts to the Winnipeg PC User Group. For many years he was employed with the Province of Manitoba at DVL and Student Aid. He also taught at Red River College and worked as a private consultant. He enjoyed attending Goldeyes baseball, travelling throughout USA and Canada, tackling home improvement projects, as well as spending time with family and friends. Despite suffering a stroke in 2013, Kim managed to stay mobile in his wheelchair. Kim was known for his humour and wit and he always enjoyed his visits with Auntie Karen.
We would like to thank the healthcare staff at Riverview for their care, compassion and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kim’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, CancerCare Manitoba, or Riverview Health Centre Foundation.
A private Celebration of Life has been held in his memory.
