ALLAN (FRANK) SMITH

December 2, 1970 - July 7, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan "Frank" Smith, born December 2, 1970. Frank passed away at the age of 52, in his home, in the loving arms of his wife Hayley Smith. Frank has passed into the peace of eternity after a two-year battle with cancer.

Frank was born in Iserlohn, West Germany, where his father was stationed with the Canadian Armed Forces, moving to Canada when he was three years old. Frank resided in Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan until moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1997, with his daughter Alicia, where he met and married the love of his life.

Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Hayley Smith; his son Jacob Smith-Chaytor; his mother Ruth Clark; his step-father Paul Clark and his step-sisters, Keri Ashworth and Kristen (Steve) Chaytor.

He is predeceased by his daughters, Alicia and Christina Smith; his father Frank Smith and his step-brother Michael Clark.

From the very beginning, Frank faced his cancer diagnosis with incredible bravery and with his eyes wide open. He often stated he wasn’t afraid of death, but that his one regret was leaving his wife and soul-mate Hayley. Frank now waits for us, his family, on the other side.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
