GEORGE GLEN REICHERT

Peacefully, on 11 July 2023, after a short illness with cancer, George 'Glen' Reichert passed away at Ladysmith Community Health Centre, Nanaimo, BC at the age of 77 years.

Glen was predeceased by his parents George and Bessie Reichert. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Dorothy and Muriel: his many nieces and nephews in Manitoba and British Columbia, and many relatives and dear friends. Special mention to Rick and Barb Penner and their family who were Glen's best and closest friends over the years.

Glen was born 23 September 1945 in Morden, MB and raised in Thornhill, MB. During his work career he was employed primarily as a Production Technician which related to warehouse parts inventory management and service of construction, mining, and logging equipment.

Glen had many passions and hobbies including: fishing, carpentry, working on his cars, model RC boats, and of course his antique clock collection. He always seemed to be on the lookout for an old mantel or wall clock he might find at an estate auction, or online, to save and restore to its original working condition.

In accordance with Glens wishes there will be no Memorial service. A private family interment will take place at a later date at the family plot in the Morden Hillside Cemetery.

Sincere thanks are extended to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Island Health and Ladysmith Community Health Centre for their care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any of the Cancer Treatment and Research foundations in Canada.
