DENIS GEORGE CHATTERTON

August 30, 1980 – July 4, 2023

With great sadness and heartache, we announce the passing of Denis George Chatterton, 42, on July 4, 2023, with his wife Angela and sons, Liam and Bennett by his side.

Beloved son of Patricia Deptuck and Kenneth Deptuck (stepfather), siblings, Trevor Vince (Jen), Candice Vince and Stacy Vince (Adina). Predeceased by his father George Denis Chatterton in 1981, grandparents, Ernest and Denise Chatterton (Otterburn, Manitoba) and George McIntyre and Victoria Dziver (East St. Paul, MB). His godson Caymen passed away in 2000 at the age of two.

Denis was very happy person, passionate and loving to all he had relationships with - always joking, laughing, having a great time at work and DJing.

Denis is survived by his special aunt Betty Pettapiece (Otterburn, Manitoba) and Janet Muller (Winnipeg); many cousins, nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles; his goddaughter Ava Bourrier Vince, nephew Andrew Vogt and nephew Cole.

Denis was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba then moved to Ottawa in 1993 with his parents, Patricia and Ken and attended Fallingbrook Elementary School, Secondary School Arts Canterbury School of the Arts where he perfected his skill and love of the trumpet. He attended high school at Sir Wilfrid Laurier and after graduating grade 12, he enrolled at Algonquin College for Radio & Broadcasting. Graduating after completing a two-year course. Soon after graduation, he landed a part-time employment at CJOH TV in downtown Ottawa. Because of his passion for music, he gained employment at Long and McQuade. In July 2006, Denis left the family home at the age of 25 years to set up house with Angela Marvin whom he married on October 6, 2006.

Very active in the Orleans area, at local pubs and bars as DJPPL move. Denis was very active in church activities at the Orleans United Church in Orleans, Ontario, where his memorial was held on July 15, 2023.

Our hearts are broken to lose him. He fought a long battle with his illness so young. But as his blood family, we hold him close in our hearts forever.

"A mother's true love for her natural children never dies."

REST IN PEACE MY SWEET LOVING BOY.
