On Sunday, June 25, 2023, Jim passed away peacefully at Boundary Trails Health Centre at 76 years of age.
Jim was born in Morden, MB on December 8, 1946, to William E. and Ann (nee Unrau) Miller. Some of the job endeavours Jim took were farmhand, trucker, mechanic, landscaper, and heavy equipment operator. Jim spent long days in the track hoe fulfilling his belief that a job worth doing was worth doing well. Jim enjoyed vehicles evidenced by the time spent snowmobiling, mowing on the tractor, riding over snowbanks and through swamps in the side by side, but mostly the trips on his beloved Harley. He was a country boy who fished, hunted and enjoyed being out in the bush or on the farm.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Ann and sister, Alvina. He is survived by his wife, Nettie, children, Russell (Carol), Terry, Holly (Jake) and grandchildren, Zachary, Calleigh, Talia, Holton; his sister, Doris (Peter) and nieces and nephew.
To honour Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family memorial to follow.
