VIVIAN IDELLE TRESOOR

(HOLLOWAY)

January 31, 1936 - July 16, 2023

On Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 87 years young, Vivian Idelle Tresoor, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, peacefully passed away in her sleep at Grace Hospice.

Left to mourn Vivian are her children, Kent, Grant (Gaye-Lynn), Rene (Doug); grandchildren, Ainsley (Scott), David (Robyn), Michael (Christine), Donald, Joe (Brittney), Allyson (Jacques), Jake (Kelsey), Christine (Mike); great-grandchildren, Abigail, Wes, Lenore, and Claire. Also, she is remembered by extended family, nieces and nephews, lifelong friends and Natasha who had a special place in Vivian's heart.

Vivian had a full life. She married Don Baker in 1956 and together they raised Kent, Grant, and René up until his untimely passing in August 1968, when he lost his battle to cancer. She was a testament of strength and perseverance raising their young family. Later on, she met Moe Tresoor and they married in December 1972. They were married for 40 years until his passing in August 2013.

Her home was a place of entertainment; many years of Christmas open houses; summer pool parties with Expertire staff; weekend nights with friends playing cards and enjoying each others company; and many family gatherings.

Vivian and Moe travelled to many work conventions for Expertire over the years, one of those being Rio de Janeiro. They enjoyed Hawaii and went many times. In 2002, they took the whole family, all 16 of them. Grandchildren, you may remember "Grandma's perch" on the beach.

The following, shared by her grandchildren, are memories that bring a smile or laugh individually or as a whole, each memory has its own story. Road trip runs to the next day luncheons, Bishop Grandin was a challenge; avoiding left hand turns; toilet paper quality; futon; burnt toast, lots of butter; Big Bang Theory; being direct and to the point; her love of football and curling and sharing her sport commentaries; she supported you no matter what was happening in your life, and was always there for you in moments of need; she was my confidant; she could keep your secret; grandma supported me no matter what was happening in my life; accessorizing and noticing those who did the same; her awesome smile and laughter; she embraced me as part of the family and made sure I knew she loved me; known as grand-mama; her sayings "Oh, for heavens sake" and "This is nice".

The common theme speaking with family and friends was they will always remember her smile, her giggle, her laughter and her friendship - she was the best friend ever.

We love you and miss you tremendously.

The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital and Grace Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care that mom received.

In respecting Mom's wishes, there will be no formal funeral. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Winnipeg, MB at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, in-memoriam donations may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation in support of the Grace Hospice or a charity of your choosing.

You can shed tears that she is gone

Or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her

Or you can be full of the love that you shared

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday

Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday

You can remember her and only that she is gone

Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
