KEVAGHN BRUCE GLENDAY

July 18, 1959 - June 5, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kevaghn Glenday on June 5, 2023, at the age of 63 years.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, George and Beverley Glenday, his sister Alison Glenday (Alan Mills) and many friends. Kevaghn was predeceased by his brother Ian Glenday in 2018.

Kevaghn grew up in Fort Garry where he attended General Byng then Vincent Massey Collegiate. He was involved in many community sports and loved to play hockey.

His early work was in retail men's wear. This job took him to Toronto for a brief period. Then back to Winnipeg where eventually he worked at The Forks. Unfortunately due to a physical illness he had to leave the job he loved the most.

He then moved to Nanaimo, BC. He loved the the beauty of Vancouver Island and this is where he spent his last six years.

Kevaghn spent a large part of his time cooking for friends and family. He was extremely talented in the kitchen and being his dinner guest was a culinary experience.

There will be no funeral but a private celebration of his life held at a later date.

Donations in Kevaghn's name can be made to the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

  • My deepest condolences to Alison, Jug and Bev, extended family and friends. I knew Kevaghn for most of my life as ‘Alison’s older brother’. Whether he was aware or not, he had an impact on my formative years. As an adult, I came to think of him less as my best friend’s brother and more as a super interesting guy I enjoyed talking with. He was very approachable, always kind and had some very cool interests and hobbies which led to great conversations (and delicious food!). Kev was a gentle and genuine soul, and I have great respect for his love of nature. He is sorely missed by all that knew him. I will forever remember him as a gentleman. May you find peace in your memories of Kevaghn. With love, Lesley - Posted by: Lesley Whalley (Friend) on: Aug 12, 2023
