It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene at Tuxedo Village Nursing home on Monday, August 7th, 2023 at the age of 78.
She was predeceased by her loving husband John in 2021. She will be sadly missed by her only daughter Tamra (partner Derek), grandchildren Cailyn and Brooklyn, former son-in-law Scott, her cat Abby and many dear friends and family.
Marlene was born on January 5th, 1945, in Valley River, Manitoba. After moving to Winnipeg with John, she worked as a bookkeeper for many years and later for John’s union and at the Winnipeg Taxation Centre.
Marlene enjoyed annual shopping trips to the US with her daughter and granddaughters. She spent many weekends at the Oasis campground where she made many dear friends. She was always known for having the most beautiful natural nails. She was a huge animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her cat.
At Marlene’s request, there will not be a formal service.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her name to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Our condolences to you & your family Tamra. I met your mom a few times, I found her to be a very humorous lady. Wish I would have gotten to know her better. Really sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Diane & John MacMillan (Friend ) on: Aug 12, 2023
