Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • So very sorry to hear of George’s passing, he was one of the good guys, very easy going, a sly sense of humour…. very likeable. We worked with him while he was in the Budget & Grants office at the U of M, way back in the good old days, with Al Goldstein, Vic Molund, Terry Falconer, Gary Wilson etc., etc.. He was always a pleasure to work with, so down to earth. His first wife Harriet was a very nice lady too … I liked her, but unfortunately never had the opportunity to meet his new family once we left Manitoba an eternity ago. I’m certain he’ll be very much missed. I can still see his wry mischievous smile … thanks for the good times George! 😊👍🏻 - Posted by: Ian & Bonnie Brown (Work Associate (U of M)) on: Aug 19, 2023

  • To David, Laurie and families. Just learned of your Dad’s passing. I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a large part of the Poker group formed from co-workers at the University of Manitoba. I have fond memories of your Dad and Mother Harriet - Posted by: Irene Falconer (Former neighbour/friend) on: Aug 19, 2023

  • Dave, Joanne, Laurie & families Betty & Ron George was a great friend, how much fun we had with both him & Harriet out at Lake Manitoba Estates. Bonfires you could see for miles, dinners at MTT Restaurant. Carpentry cuttings lol always need extra lengths for mistakes. Memories can never be taken away, remember and cherish them always. Mom and Dad are now safe in the arms of Jesus, and free from all pain and sorrow. Take care Love Rob, Gail and the crew. - Posted by: Rob & Gail (Friiends) on: Aug 19, 2023
