Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryORESE IRENE MIAZGA
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Orese Irene Miazga at the age of 88 on August 12, 2023 at Action Marguerite St. Vital.
Orese was born on March 24,1935 to Henri and Stella Pinsonneault, the second of six children. She was raised on the banks of the Red River on a small farm in Ste. Agathe, Manitoba. There was never a shortage of hard work to go around in which everyone participated, planting a huge garden and canning vegetables and fruit to sustain the family through a long winter.
Although those years were filled with hard work, they were also filled with good memories of music and dancing among family and neighbours. Playing cards was a passion of Mom's and she never missed an opportunity to participate in a good game of cards.
Mom started working at a young age. After the devastating flood of 1950, she left school and went to work in St. Pierre. Then as a young lady, she moved to St. Boniface where one evening she went on a double date with another couple. She found her friend's date Antonio (Tony) more interesting than her own and the rest, as they say, is history.
Orese and Tony eventually married and moved to Lorette, Manitoba to start their own family. Dad, along with his parents, his two brothers, and their families operated a dairy/mixed farm for many years. Aside from raising their four children and helping on the farm, Orese worked at various places throughout her life. Her most rewarding and final work was at St. Amant Centre in St. Vital and she truly enjoyed her time there.
Orese was predeceased by her parents, Henri and Stella Pinsonneault (Rewusky), brother Hervé, sisters, Alice Dandenault (Gilbert) and Doris Massicotte, sister-in-law Eileen Pinsonneault, her father-in-law John Miazga and mother-in-law Albina Miazga (Manaigre) and her brothers-in-law, Jean (Irene) and Roland Miazga.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Tony Miazga, their children, Louise (K.C.), Norman (Kelly), Denis (Catherine), Allan (Sandra) and grandchildren, Lee (Mona), Lyndsey, Jay, Colin (Debbie), Daniel and great-grandchildren, Willow, River, Mia and Ella. Also left to mourn are her sister Jeannette Lofto and brother Roger Pinsonneault and nieces and nephews.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff and all the volunteers at Action Marguerite St. Vital for their care, kindness and compassion over the last three years. We'd also like to thank Dr. Gordon and Dr. Zhang of CancerCare Manitoba.
A private family service will occur at a later date.

My sincere sympathies to Mr Tony Miazga, Louise, Norma, Allan and their families. I have great memories of those long summers; stealing the Miazga's crabapples; Orise's birthday cakes with quarters and dimes in them; and of course those amazing little white cupcakes from her freezer!!! I am thinking of you all. Jeannine - Posted by: Jeannine Gendron (Lorette friend) on: Sep 22, 2023
