It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Verna Kapkey at the age of 91.
She will be missed by her daughters, Valerie (Ian), Lorraine (Art) and Diane (Wally), daughter-in-law Andrea, grandchildren, Cory, Amber, Grace, Alex, Wiley and Keely, and great-grandchildren, Alexis, Natalie, Brennan, Jade, Danika, Noah and Hannah.
Predeceased by her husband Bill in 1989, her son Randy in 2020 and her grandson Jesse in 2019.
Funeral service will be at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on August 31, at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.

Verna and her daughter Darlene were great people who helped me to cope when I was first diagnosed with Myasthinia Gravis. She originally started the group because of her husband. When I was first diagnosed in 1990 it was difficult to understand my disease and I was a working as a nurse. Through her group and her compassion I learned from various other members how to cope and learn about the disease. By learning from other various speakers I learned how to manage my work, and family.
