EMILY (MIMI) CHRYSTAL
December 22, 1931 - August 23, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Mimi, with family at her side, slipped away into the waiting arms of her husband Bob who predeceased her just seven short months ago. Also there to greet her is her faithful dog “Kammie“.
Born and raised in Brandon, it is where she met Bob, the love of her life and they shared 70 wonderful years together.
Survived by daughters, Linda Fiedler, Brenda (Wayne) Striowski, son Rob (Kelly), grandsons, Danny (Charlotte), Jeff (Tracy) Fiedler, Mike Striowski, granddaughter Michelle Striowski (Sean), great-grandsons, Devon, Kaden Fiedler, sister-in-law Mary Lou (Gary) Leggero and family, Jim (Tracy) Turner, Evan and Cori (Roger) Isabella, Mom's extended family and her many dear friends. With special thanks to cousin Bobby (Betty-Lynn).
Mom loved all animals especially Labrador Retrievers and together with Bob enjoyed their favourite pastime of raising and training them for over 50 years, becoming honorary lifetime members of the Manitoba Gun Dog Association.
She was also very active with and enjoyed being a member of The Labrador Retriever Club of Manitoba.
Mom was honoured by the Canadian Kennel Club in 2019 with a plaque marking her 50 years of dedicated service.
Mom's legacy is her family, she will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
We would like to thank Dr. Jeremy Lipschitz and Dr. Francis Schroeder, Silver Heights pharmacist Devarshi and staff. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and aides at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care for the care, compassion and comfort they provided to Mom.
Thank you, “Ma”, for always being there and believing in us
You will forever live in our hearts.
We Love You!
