KENT MARTIN
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our only son Kent on August 29, 2023, with his mom and dad by his side at the Grace Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Kent is survived by his parents, Ken and Marlene; his aunt Val and several cousins.
Kent’s chosen profession was cooking; something he enjoyed very much. Kent enjoyed all sporting events, attending many Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Goldeyes games with his dad. His Friday night get togethers with his buddies meant a lot to him. He was an easy going, friendly, fun loving person, always willing to give a helping hand and always respectful, warm and welcoming to all people.
We would like to thank the gang on Kavanaugh for welcoming our son into their home and treating him like family. Kent truly appreciated your friendship.
As per Kent’s request no formal service will be held. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Harvest in Kent’s memory.
We have loved him from his first breath to his last breath and will love him forever. The hardest thing we ever had to do was watch our son fight so hard to live. We will miss him. Our lives without him will never be the same.

He was a good hearted person. We talked about sports with him. I remember we took a bus to a Blue Bombers and Goldeyes Game. I wish there were more people like Kent. God bless you! - Posted by: Corey (I work with him club regent casino ) on: Nov 21, 2023

Today - September 22, 2023 - we said our final goodbye to Kent. As we stood by his resting place, we remembered his warm and welcoming personality. I, most of all, remembered his HUGS. Even though I always said "Get Away From Me", those HUGS will be missed. Not only by me, but by many because that is how he greeted everyone. Kent may be gone from our everyday life, but he will remain in our hearts, mind and the stories we will tell. Aunt Val - Posted by: valerie pauk (Aunt) on: Sep 22, 2023
