Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILJA (LIL) JEFFERS
On Wednesday, August 10, 2023, Lilja "Lil" Jeffers passed away at the E.M. Crowe Hospital in Eriksdale at age 93.
Mom grew up on the family farm in Lundar. She met Hazen, married in 1948 and moved to Eriksdale. Together they worked as a team, building a loving home and being the best parents any child could wish for.
Lil leaves to cherish her memory her five children: Cliff (Kim), Tim (Linda), Dawn, Mike (Tracy), Mark (Nicole); ten grandchildren: Evan, Tyler (Natalie), Matthew (Alison), Shannon (Mike), Ben, Chris, Dylan, Erinn (Jason), Kevin and Kyle; six great-grandchildren: Everly, Fraya, Hazen, Dmetrius, Thomas and Grace; sister Thelma and brother Ernie as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mom had been an active member of the Eriksdale United Church all her life. She took pride in everything she touched whether it was her home, garden or craft projects. She sewed numerous dresses, including bridesmaid dresses, and made quilts for each family member. Above all, mom loved her family and enjoyed when they'd stop in for visits. You could always be sure that the cookie jar was filled with Grandma J cookies. Mom was a very intelligent woman. At 93, she was still up on current events and could be counted on for sound advice.
The family wishes to thank the EMTs, staff at Ashern, Grace, Health Sciences Centre and Eriksdale hospitals for their compassionate care of mom and John and Karen Gray of Arnason Funeral Home. A private family internment will be held at a later date.
Mom lived as she died, without much fuss or bother. Rest in peace mom, and say hi to dad.
