It is 10 years since Klaus was taken from us in a tragic Arctic accident. You were passionate about your work as an environmental scientist. Your expertise in Remote Sensing impacted the global community from working with young Inuit students to help them to understand their Arctic shores and changes to their ice environment; to the highly skilled scientists that you worked with on the Amundsen ship. Another highlight was your trip to Kenya, where you used your remote sensing skills to locate standing water with the ultimate goal of reduction in the high incidence of malaria in young children. We miss your voice, love, and laughter; your goofy self when playing with your grandchildren, your insightful political and socially conscious mind; your adventurous spirit and your presence in our lives.
Forever in our hearts, Martha and your loving family.
