On September 5, 2023, at 6:57 p.m., beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Alaing Agnes Clare (nee McKay), died at home in the presence of her loving family after a recent diagnosis of cancer.
Grieving this loss is Steve, husband of 53 years; son Ryan; daughter Samantha (Gordie Paradoski); sister Gail McKay (Joe Bernard); brother Stuart McKay (Diana); nephew Marty and Calli. Mourning her passing, is cousin (“sister") Donna Mackay, "daughter and granddaughter", Alex and Elizabeth Halmrast, nephew Jay Cleroux (Barb) and family (Abbey, Jacob, Noah) of Kelowna, extended family in Scotland (Walkinshaw, Mathieson, Laing), USA (Clare), Canada and dear friends, Pat and Joe Pellaers.
Per Alaing's wishes there will be no formal service. Alaing's ashes will be interred at St. Clements Church at a private ceremony.

We always enjoyed seeing Alaing in church. Always a beautiful smile and beautiful person all around. She always had words of wisdom to share and delightful stories to share.
