With a very heavy heart, we are sad to announce the passing of Darin Michael Semenchuk of Gillam. He was surrounded by family and friends at St. Boniface Hospital.
Darin was predeceased by his loving mother Shirley, grandparents, Bill and Hazel Clarkson, Mike and Anna Semenchuk and numerous aunts and uncles. He will be lovingly cherished and remembered by his wife Krista (Taylor) and son Bodan (Bodie). He will be sadly missed by his dad Bodan (Bob), his sister Carla (Al) Krantz; by his in-laws, Alf and Margo Witzke, Jason (Nicole) Taylor. Darin will be missed by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and many cousins. He will be lovingly remembered by all his friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Gillam Rec Centre on Sunday, September 24.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Darin’s name to the Manitoba Kidney Foundation or to a charity of choice.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Gillam Hospital, the St. Boniface PD and ICMS Units.

Mr. Semenchuk, Krista and Bodie, Carla and family, I only now just heard of Darin's passing. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and that Darin will always be fondly remembered and glowingly spoken about by our family. He was such a good man and I have so many amazing memories of Darin growing up in Gillam. He will be very missed. To Krista, Bodan, Carla and Bob We are so very sorry for your loss. It's hard to put in words what Darin's passing means to me. It feels like one of the original CN gang is gone. It has made me go through the photo albums looking at all the pictures my mom took of us growing up together and to be reminded of who (we) really were. Mom was always kinda camera happy which was irritating but at the moment, It's appreciate.
