  • My sincere condolences for the loss of your mother. I first met Denyse more than 35 years ago when I was a young girl and my mother Sharon starting working for the City of Winnipeg. Over the years she was always kind and warm. As children we forget sometimes that our parents mean many things to many people. I was blessed to have known her and am so very thankful for the friendship she gave my mother. - Posted by: June Murfitt (Sharon's Daughter) on: Dec 27, 2023

  • I worked with Denyse in the Parks and Recreation days. She was such a joy to work with. She.had this contagious laugh and when she laughed you laughed. I am deeply sorry to the family for the loss of this beautiful lady. May you rest in peace, Denyse. You are one special angel. - Posted by: Sharon McDougall (Co-worker) on: Sep 19, 2023

  • I am so saddened to learn of Denyse's passing. Denyse was one of the most sincere, caring and overall human being I have met. My husband (Glenn Maddaford, deceased) and I had the pleasure and honor of working with Denyse. Curling bonspiels with my husband, or working with me at the City's Bilingual Service Centre (BSC). Denyse was one of the first ever employees that worked at the BSC, getting to use her bilingual skills. She made her mark not only with her colleagues, but also with her customers. She was loved by all. My sympathies to the family. Denyse will remain with us, smiling down as she always did, through all the memories we have and will continue to cherish. Repose en paix mon amie. • Nick so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. What a wonderful person to work with. So many practical jokes n her laugh would echo thru the HR floor. I had many CUPE situations she always was able to help me with. RIP look out when she meets up with Sharon her partner in crime. - Posted by: Barbara Verschoore (Coworker ) on: Sep 14, 2023

  • So very sad to hear of Denyse’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with her for 10 years and in that time we became good friends. We celebrated Nicholas’s arrival and had great times curling and playing baseball. So thankful we were able to visit Denyse a couple of times before her passing. We had fun reminiscing and it felt like no time had passed. She will always be remembered for her contiguous laugh that would lift your spirits. Denyse, you will be missed. • Denyse was one of the most positive, caring, funny and nicest people I had the honour to call my friend. Denyse and Sharon were always behind practical jokes and elastic misiles on the 4th floor of 395 Main Street. Now they are both in cohoots in heaven. She has left us too soon. My condolences to Nicholas. Your mother was a great person. - Posted by: Joanne Brauer (Friend ) on: Sep 14, 2023
