  • I have many memories of Nellie, the first being a cashier and remembering the peoples Coops numbers. She always was pleasant and chatted with her customers. While she chatted; if you were a stranger she was able to gather information from you before you even knew it. She would have made a very good detective.... I loved that about her. 1992 Nellie and Tom were our neighbours, our children would cross beside their garden for a shortcut to school. That is when I ( Christine ) got to know both Tom and Nellie much better. Tom the avid gardener he was gave me a few tips to better my gardening, and Nellie and I would chit chat. She was an excellent cook. A second memory I have is once Nellie and Tom retired, they did some travelling and Nellie would bring back a rock or two for her flower bed. I would do the same to Jack's dismay. When I told Jack that Nellie brought some rocks back from her travels, I had no problem bringing my Unique rocks home, thanks to Nellie. Rest in peace dear Nellie. Hugs to All her families and friends - Posted by: Christine & Jack Kowalchuk (friends) on: Sep 16, 2023

  • So sorry for your loss Murray and Lisa, we know it's trying times for you. Nellie was a true friend, she greeted us with open arms when we moved to FB. She adopted Margaret as her "nurse" when she found out she was a nurse. Nellie was generous to a fault. We are going to miss her. Goodbye Nellie rest in peace now.
