It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carmen Brakus on March 28, 2023 at the age of 80 years old.
Carmen was born in Italy and immigrated to Canada with his mother Anna Brakus (nee Lambiase), stepfather Milan Brakus and brother Al in 1951. The family settled in Winnipeg where Carmen grew up and was employed with a masonry company for 42 years before retiring at the age of 65. Carmen loved fast cars, sports and was a devoted husband and father.
Carmen is survived by his daughter Tina; brothers, Al and Tony and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy. Carmen was predeceased by his mother Anna and stepfather Milan. A short graveside service and internment will take place at Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main Street on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
